Heads turned at the sight of men in business suits walking down Queen Street in women’s high heels on Friday 1st of September 2017. Staff from Harcourts – The Property People, along with members from Harcourts offices throughout Australia, their family, friends and the greater community, walked down a different path and once again joined forces with White Ribbon Australia to take a stand against domestic violence.
This public display was in support of the very serious issue behind Harcourts’ national fundraising event Walk A Mile in Their Shoes 2017.
This event brings attention to the tragedy that is violence against women. The annual event raises much needed funds to support White Ribbon’s “Breaking the Silence” prevention initiatives in primary and secondary schools. These initiatives are focused on changing young people’s attitudes towards violence, creating generational change for a brighter future.
At Harcourts - The Property People, our support of this event, plus the outstanding support from the Macarthur community, our clients, associated businesses, family and friends raised a whopping $20,082! This was the highest amount achieved by a Harcourts office nationwide.
